Birds Of Tokyo Outsells Bon Jovi In First Week Sales

Birds of Tokyo number one debut last week outsold the Bon Jovi one number debut this week.

Bon Jovi’s ‘What About Me’ clocked up 9,910 sales in Australia last week to earn the title the top spot on the ARIA chart this week. Last week, Birds of Tokyo ‘March Fires’ sold 13,013.

The Birds of Tokyo album is currently the fastest selling album for Australia so far in 2013. It sold a further 4,949 units last week.

David Bowie ‘The Next Day’ came in at number two with 8.245 units sold.

Dave Grohl’s ‘Sound City’ debuted at 6 with 4,284 sales.

Other debuts on the Australian chart this week were Bruce Springsteen ‘Collection 1973-2012’ at 15, Jimi Hendrix ‘People, Hell & Angels’ at 29 and Gold Fields ‘Black Sun’ at 32.
